Peer Support Specialist Captain
The Peer Support Specialist Captain is responsible for training and managing a team of up to eight Peer Support Specialists who, alongside a larger Alumni Support Team, will ensure that Peer Leaders attain the three Workshop goals. Managed by the Assistant Workshop Director and Lead PeerForward Coach, this Captain and their team would assist PeerForward Coaches during all Peer Leader sessions. From facilitating ice breakers and session content to providing direct mentoring, this person plays a crucial role in making sure the PeerForward workshop runs smoothly for all participants
Peer Support Specialist
The Peer Support Specialist works alongside a larger Alumni Support Team who will ensure that Peer Leaders achieve workshop objectives. Managed by a team Captain, the Specialist would be primarily responsible for assisting PeerForward Coaches during all Peer Leader Sessions. From assisting in facilitating ice breakers and session content to providing direct mentoring to all Peer Leaders – this person plays a critical role in making sure the PeerForward Workshop runs smoothly for all participants.
Operations Specialist Captain
The Operations Specialist Captain is responsible for training and managing a team of up to six Operations Specialists who, alongside a larger Alumni Support team, are committed to ensuring that Peer Leaders achieve workshop objectives. Managed by the Assistant Workshop Director, this Captain and their team would be primarily responsible for supporting the execution of all Workshop logistical and operational needs while mentoring all Peer Leaders.
Operations Specialist
An Operations Specialist works alongside a larger Alumni Support team to ensure Peer Leaders achieve workshop objectives. Managed by a team Captain, this Specialist would be primarily responsible for supporting the execution of all workshops logistical and operational needs while being a mentor to all Peer Leaders. From registration to supply management and daily operational support, this person is critical in ensuring the PeerForward Workshop runs smoothly for all participants.
Marketing Associate
Director of Writing Coaching
The Director of Writing Coaching (DWC) will ensure that each Peer Leader at their assigned Workshop accomplishes the Workshop goal of completing a personal statement draft for their college application. In this role, DWCs will oversee a group of up to 20 Writing Coaches. The DWC is responsible for training the Writing Coaches on the PeerForward Writing Curriculum and on implementing the Curriculum to coach students to produce their personal statement drafts. The DWC will support, coach, and troubleshoot with the Writing Coaches to ensure that students are effectively assisted in the writing process. DWCs will collaborate with other Workshop Operations Team members to fully support the Peer Leaders through the Workshop experience.
Director of College Coaching
The Director of College Coaching (DCC) will ensure that each Peer Leader accomplishes the Workshop goal of attaining a list of college options which match the students’ academic, financial, and social goals. The DCC will lead a group of up to 18 volunteer College Coaches, who are professionally trained college advisors, through their Workshop role of holding college advising sessions with each Peer Leader. The DCC will be responsible for facilitating the College Coach orientation and will lead meetings following each day of the Workshop where College Coaches collaborate and review each student’s college list. The ultimate goal of the DCC is to ensure that PeerForward Peer Leaders attain the college advising goal of the Workshop.
