Meet this week’s Forward Thinker Spotlight: Brian Ceron! Brian is a senior at Skyline High School and was recently named as a top 10% student in the Dallas Independent School District (DISD). We caught up with him to ask about this accomplishment and what change he hopes to inspire in his community as a Peer Leader:

How does it feel to be named as a top 10% student in your school district?

It feels great knowing that all the hard work I’ve put into my studies has paid off.

What’s one change you want to inspire in your school or community as a Peer Leader?

I want more minority groups to know that opportunities are there for them, but that it is up to them to seize these opportunities.

What’s one dream/goal you have after high school?

I hope to find a career that combines my love for music performance and the culinary world. My goal is to be able to open up a Jazz bar restaurant one day.

As a top 10% student, what song is your study jam?

Anything by Adele.
