J.B. is the founder of PeerForward and was its first CEO. Now, he is a managing partner of the Learn to Earn fund at New Profit, a venture philanthropy and social innovation organization that provides funding and strategic support to help the most promising social innovations scale. J.B. leads the organization’s ecosystem innovation work for college access, post-secondary education, and career, helping leading actors in the field equip 10 million more Americans for career success by 2025.

Forbes named J.B. to its “Impact 30” list of top global social entrepreneurs (2012) for his work leading PeerForward, the organization President Obama saluted with a portion of his Nobel Peace Prize award in 2009. Selected as the U.S. Social Entrepreneur of the Year at the World Economic Forum (2007), J.B. is the recipient of honorary doctorates from Regis University and the Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium). He is a fellow of the Aspen Institute, Skoll Foundation, Ashoka, and the Manhattan Institute. J.B. has been interviewed by, and published in, numerous media outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and People.
