Big Think: “College education is still a class luxury in America. PeerForward is changing that.”

PeerForward was recently recognized with the 2019 Big Think Lumina Prize for Postsecondary Education Innovation – Judge’s Choice Award.  We were invited to Big Think studios in NYC to tell the world about the work PeerForward has done over the past two decades to guide high school students to higher education, and our exciting new ventures to serve even more high school students AND to bring our model to college campuses in the video below.

By 2024, we hope to reach 10,000 college students using our positive peer influence model to increase the number of students who persist to earn a college degree. With over two-thirds of jobs in the U.S. today requiring postsecondary education credentials, we know the time is now to commit toward helping our students get to college, earn their degree, and thrive in their future.

Hear from Community Engagement Specialist and 2011 PeerForward alumna, Aloysia “AJ” Jean, who is featured in the video sharing  her powerful testament on what PeerForward has done for her, the lives it continues to impact, and the exciting new path the organization is taking:
