Achieving Success and
Paying it Forward

Our Alumni are the Best Inspiration and Support

PeerForward has influenced the lives of more than 350,000 young people, creating a national network of alumni who serve as our ambassadors, our volunteers, and our PeerForward staff. PeerForward alumni are the best inspiration and support for students following in their footsteps on the path to and through higher education.

First Year Forward

With support from the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation, PeerForward launched the First Year Forward program, a free program for incoming college freshmen pursuing a degree from a two or four-year accredited college or university. Alumni are strongly encouraged to serve as First Year Forward Ambassadors, sending assigned freshman students information, reminders, support, and advice on how to navigate the first year of college—all through weekly text messages.

Congratulations to our Outstanding Ambassadors for the 2017-2018 school year! Rocio Siri, Richenet LaFleur, and Julio Gonzalez-Hernandez went above and beyond the call of duty to bring our students the support and advice needed to have a successful freshmen year in college. peer leadership

Become a Leader

PeerForward thrives because of the thousands of alumni who help us inspire future generations with peer leadership. For years, PeerForward alumni have served in numerous roles, assisting students during workshops on their journey to become Peer Leaders. PeerForward builds on the experience and leadership of our alumni through four specific roles that make up the Alumni Support Team: Operations Specialist Captain, Operations Specialist, Peer Support Specialist Captain, and Peer Support Specialist.

The Alumni Support Team is vital to every workshop. Alumni selected for these roles commit to supporting students and ensuring that all Peer Leaders attain the their workshop goals. All team members offer advice, encouragement and reassurance to students throughout their workshop experience.
