Nobody in my family can support me financially. So while I could be studying or doing homework, I’m at work making sure I can provide everything I need to survive.

I first got connected with College Summit through my Science & Technology Assistant Coordinator, Mr. Waldron. I fell in love with the program immediately. My summer workshop was so empowering and motivating.

As a Peer Leader, I plan to share my knowledge of the 5 forms of financial aid, how to write a personal statements, college life and everything else I learned at workshop with my peers. By giving what I learned to others, their perspective of college might change as well.

My dream job is to become a Child Trauma and Abuse Psychiatrist and eventually open up my own practice. Haven’t quite picked a school yet but I’m strongly leaning towards Spelman College.
